Garage Project’s LA LA is a vibrant American IPA that bridges the gap between classic West Coast intensity and modern juicy sensibilities. It opens with an explosive bouquet of tropical fruit, resinous pine, and bright citrus zest. While the heavy dose of West Coast alpha acid provides a firm, clean bitterness, the mouthfeel remains notably soft and approachable, likely influenced by a specialized fermentation approach. The palate is dominated by New World hop saturation, supported by a lean, grainy malt backbone that ensures a crisp, dry finish. It is a refreshing, hop-forward experience that celebrates the evolution of the style.

Appearance. Medium gold to light amber in color with a slight, modern haze. It is topped by a persistent, fine-beaded white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aromatics featuring dominant notes of crushed pineapple, passionfruit, and grapefruit pith, followed by a secondary layer of resinous pine. Malt presence is low and clean, offering a cracker-like base with neutral fermentation esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical stone fruit and citrus oil. Mid-palate reveals a sturdy, grainy malt foundation with very light toasted notes. The finish is decidedly bitter and dry, characterized by a lingering resinous hop character and a clean, crisp aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a notably soft, smooth texture despite the high bitterness. Carbonation is moderate to high, and there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
