Garage Project Gold Top is a refined Belgian Pale Ale emerging from the Wild Workshop. It showcases an elegant balance between a rich, bready malt backbone and delicate, yeast-driven fruitiness. The aroma is inviting, led by toasty, biscuity malt and a gentle bouquet of ripe pear, orange, and apple. On the palate, a smooth initial sweetness gives way to soft honey and nuttier notes, supported by a subtle peppery phenol and herbal hop presence. With its lively carbonation and crisp finish, this ale remains highly approachable yet complex, embodying the classic Belgian character with a clean, understated bitterness that lingers briefly.
Appearance. Deep gold to copper (10–12 SRM) with excellent clarity. It supports a dense, creamy, rocky white head with very good retention and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring bready and toasted malt notes with hints of honey and biscuit. Fruit esters are moderately high, suggesting red apple, pear, and orange peel. Hop aroma is low and spicy with optional very low peppery phenols.
Taste. Soft, smooth entry featuring biscuity malt and light caramel. Mid-palate introduces moderate fruitiness of pear and apple alongside a very low peppery yeast character. Bitterness is medium-low, providing balance to a dry, clean finish with a short, herbal hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, velvety palate. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel. Alcohol warmth is low and well-integrated.
