By utilizing a hop-free boil and an aggressive dry-hopping regimen featuring Galaxy and Vic Secret, the beer radiates intense tropical aromas. Expect a saturated bouquet of passionfruit, ripe pineapple, and peach. The palate follows suit with a dense, juicy fruit character and a soft, pillowy texture that belies its 8% strength. It is a modern, hazy interpretation of the style, where the resinous qualities of the Australian hops provide a delicate counterpoint to the lush, fruit-driven core.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (6-8 SRM) with a thick, opaque haze. Features a dense, creamy white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity with an explosion of tropical fruit. Dominated by passionfruit and pineapple from the Vic Secret, alongside stone fruit notes of peach and apricot attributed to Galaxy. Supportive, low grainy malt sweetness and a clean, neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a wave of juicy tropical fruit—mango, passionfruit, and citrus. The Vic Secret provides a subtle piney resin in the background. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a soft bready foundation. Bitterness is moderate but exceptionally smooth, lacking harshness due to the hop-free boil. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering, fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, smooth, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but never solventy or sharp.
