Fruitallica is a bold Double IPA that fuses the aggressive hop swagger of Stone Brewing with an explosive tropical profile. This collaboration delivers an intense sensory experience, led by the sharp, aromatic citrus of yuzu and the lush, tropical sweetness of golden kiwifruit. High-decibel hops provide a classic resinous and piney backdrop, typical of the West Coast style. A distinct undercurrent of habanero chili adds a subtle, earthy pepper character and a creeping warmth that complements the 8% ABV. The result is a hyper-hopped fruit bomb with a clean malt spine and a dry, lingering bitter finish.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper with a moderate-sized, persistent white head that leaves fine lacing. Generally clear, though a very slight fruit-induced haze may be present.
Aroma. High intensity, dominated by sharp yuzu citrus, tropical golden kiwi, and resinous pine hops. A faint, spicy pepper note from the habanero is detectable, backed by a clean, neutral grainy malt character. Fermentation is clean with minimal esters.
Taste. Initial punch of citrusy yuzu and tropical fruit flavors, followed by a firm, resinous hop bitterness. The habanero provides a subtle earthy flavor and a mild, building heat. Malt is supportive and soft, providing a neutral base. Finish is dry and crisp with a long-lasting hop and chili warmth.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly slick texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A notable alcohol warmth is present, enhanced by a gentle capsaicin tingle on the palate.
