Celebrating Garage Project's 11th anniversary, this Triple IPA is a tour de force of modern hop science. Despite its 11% ABV, the inclusion of light lager malt, wheat, and oats ensures a smooth, luminous base that carries an overwhelming intensity of hop character. The massive, multi-stage additions—ranging from the mash to final dry-hopping—layer complex notes of tropical fruit, pine resin, and citrus zest. It presents the profile of a Double IPA pushed to its limit, balancing aggressive bitterness with a deceptively clean finish and an inviting alcoholic warmth that signals its celebratory strength.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange in color with a slight haze from the heavy protein additions. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with significant lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma with complex layers of tropical fruit, passionfruit, and mango, alongside sharp pine resin and grapefruit zest. Low neutral-grainy malt character in the background; clean fermentation with a hint of smooth alcohol.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors featuring tropical stone fruit and resinous spice. Very high bitterness that remains remarkably smooth. Clean, light malt character from the light lager malt, wheat, and oats provides support without sweetness. Finishes dry and clean with a long-lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture derived from the wheat and oats. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without harshness or hop-derived astringency.
