Whirlpool additions of Centennial, Chinook, and Simcoe provide a foundational layer of bright citrus and forest pine. A substantial dry-hop featuring Citra and HBC-431 pushes forward intense notes of peach and tropical fruit, while a generous addition of Columbus introduces a sophisticated dank, herbal, and earthy depth. The result is a smooth, opaque ale that marries fruit-forward sweetness with a classic, resinous hop complexity.
Appearance. Deep straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a characteristic opaque, luminous haze; features a dense, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent peach, tropical fruit, and citrus notes; a significant dank and herbal character is present alongside forest pine. Yeast-derived apricot esters are noticeable over a light, bready malt background.
Taste. High hop flavor of succulent peach, citrus, and mango; the mid-palate introduces a pungent dankness and resinous pine. Bitterness is low-moderate and soft, never sharp. The malt provides a neutral, grainy support leading into an off-dry, smooth finish with lingering fruit and herbal notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture; moderate carbonation and a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any astringency or harshness.
