This collaboration between Garage Beer Co. and Põhjala is a quintessential American IPA that balances modern fruitiness with old-school resin. A lean Pilsner malt base provides a crisp canvas for an intense hop charge of Mosaic, Strata, and Columbus. The sensory profile is defined by punchy grapefruit and resinous pine, layered with tropical notes of sweaty mango and a pungent, sticky marijuana dankness. True to the West Coast tradition, the beer is exceptionally moreish and crisp. It concludes with an assertive, pleasing bitterness and a bone-dry finish that allows the complex, oily hop character to linger cleanly on the palate.

Appearance. Light gold (6 SRM); clear with brilliant clarity; medium white head with excellent persistence and moderate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring grapefruit zest, resinous pine, and tropical mango, with a distinct dank, herbal, marijuana-like quality. Low grainy, crackery malt character from the Pilsner base; clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is hop-dominant and assertive. High hop flavor mirrors the aroma with citrus, pine, and tropical fruit (mango) leading. Low grainy malt sweetness provides minimal support before being overtaken by a firm, clean bitterness. Finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering resinous and grapefruit-peel aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, lean texture. Moderate-high carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth; no harshness or astringency.
