This American IPA captures the essence of the West Coast style with a modern, high-intensity hop profile. Using a blend of Citra and Mosaic Spectrum alongside Simcoe and Columbus, it delivers a punchy sensory experience defined by resinous pine and sharp citrus peel. The aromatic profile is heavy on forest floor and grapefruit zest, supported by a clean, lean malt backbone. On the palate, a firm bitterness asserts itself, carrying flavors of orange pith and evergreen through to a bracingly dry finish. It is a crisp, hop-forward ale that balances classic resinous depth with contemporary fruit clarity.
Appearance.Deep gold to light amber (SRM 7-9) with brilliant clarity. It supports a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma.High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of resinous pine, grapefruit zest, and a hint of dank earthiness. Low, clean, bready maltiness provides a neutral base, while fermentation remains very clean with only subtle citrus esters.
Taste.Initial hop-forward impression of pine sap and citrus oil. Low grainy malt flavor allows the medium-high bitterness to dominate. Flavors of lemon peel and resin persist into a crisp, dry finish with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, contributing to the dry sensation, with a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
