This refreshing Berliner Weisse captures the transition of seasons with a vibrant sensory profile driven by rhubarb, blackberry, and ginger. The pour reveals a striking hue from the infusion of blackberry, which also lends a deep, jammy berry character to the aroma. Sharp, clean lactic sourness is immediately apparent, softened by the vegetal tartness of rhubarb and a subtle doughy malt backbone. A delicate addition of ginger provides a zingy, spicy complexity on the finish, elevating the sensory impact beyond its sessionable strength. The result is a crisp, highly effervescent experience where fruit sweetness and lactic acidity are held in a lively, dry balance.

Appearance. SRM 5-8; deep pink to light reddish-purple hue. Hazy clarity with a moderate, white to pink-tinted head that shows poor retention. Highly effervescent.

Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by fresh blackberry and tart rhubarb notes. Moderate to moderately-high sharp lactic sourness. A subtle, earthy, and spicy ginger note adds complexity. Low doughy wheat character; no hop aroma or fermentation byproducts like diacetyl.

Taste. Clean lactic sourness is dominant and sharp. Prominent flavors of tart rhubarb and ripe blackberry provide a fruity depth that balances the acidity. Hop bitterness is undetectable, with the ginger providing a mild, zingy spice that lingers into the aftertaste. Finishes very dry and crisp with a light bready, grainy wheat flavor.

Mouthfeel. Light body but not watery. Very high carbonation providing a prickly, refreshing sensation. No alcohol warmth. Crisp acidity with a slight ginger-derived zing and no astringency.
