This Double IPA, a collaborative effort between Garage and Verdant, showcases an intense aromatic profile driven by Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Bru-1. The sensory experience is dominated by a tropical explosion of ripe pineapple, peach rings, and zesty grapefruit, while the Nelson Sauvin provides a sophisticated layer of gooseberry and Sauvignon Blanc wine character. True to the Verdant influence, the beer offers a plush, soft mouthfeel that carries these heavy hop oils across the palate. However, the Garage influence ensures a firm, clean bitterness on the finish, balancing the 8% strength with remarkable drinkability and a dry, lingering hoppy snap.
Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light orange with a persistent, dense white head and excellent lacing. Though the style traditionally favors clarity, this modern iteration presents a characteristic hazy opacity.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pineapple, stone fruit, and grapefruit. A distinct vinous character evoking white grape and gooseberry is present, supported by a neutral, grainy malt background and clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Bold hop flavors of peach, pineapple, and citrus zest lead the palate, followed by a refined gooseberry complexity. The bitterness is firm but smooth, balancing a soft malt backbone. It finishes medium-dry with a lingering resonance of hop resins and tropical fruit.

So we invited the guys over to brew a return trip in Barcelona with huge expectations to meet. We decided on a tank of a DIPA stocked with loads of Citra, Citra Spectrum, Nelson Sauvin and Bru-1 Spectrum. Spread over three additions this beauty oozes grapefruit, pineapple, peach rings, gooseberry and sauv blanc wine. The body packs all of the softness that we love about Verdant beers with a little bitter finish that we love here at Garage.
