This decadent Imperial Stout opens with an intense wave of toasted coconut and coconut milk, seamlessly layered over a rich foundation of Maris Otter and Golden Promise malts. The aroma is dominated by dark chocolate and roasted coffee notes from the Chocolate malt, complemented by subtle dried fruit esters from the Windsor yeast. A complex grain bill featuring Golden Naked Oats, flaked oats, and wheat creates a remarkably thick, velvety palate. Each sip delivers bittersweet cocoa and creamy coconut, transitioning into a lingering, warming finish where the 11% alcohol is well-integrated amidst deep caramel and toasty malt complexities driven by the DRC and Cara specialty grains.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, deep tan head with moderate retention and significant lacing. High viscosity is evident as slow-moving legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity and complex. Dominant notes of toasted coconut and creamy coconut milk are interwoven with bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and black licorice. Subdued dark fruit esters of prune and fig are present. Hop aroma is very low and earthy.

Taste. Intense and rich. Initial sweetness of coconut and caramel is followed by deep roasted flavors of baker's chocolate and burnt toast. The maltiness is substantial, featuring bread and toasty notes. Bitterness is medium-high, providing enough balance to prevent a cloying sensation. The finish is bittersweet and lingering, with a persistent aftertaste of cocoa and coconut.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, gentle alcohol warmth is noticeable but well-integrated into the massive body.
