This Double IPA from Garage Beer Co delivers a saturated, confectionery hop profile that lives up to its playful name. Dominated by a massive cocktail of Citra and Amarillo, the beer bursts with aromas of ripe mango, sweet tangerine, and citrus zest. The inclusion of BRU-1 and AU-035 introduces a plush, tropical stone fruit depth, while Columbus provides a subtle resinous undercurrent to balance the perceived candy-like sweetness. Despite its 8.3% ABV, the palate remains remarkably smooth, featuring a creamy, hazy texture and a soft, neutral malt backbone. The finish is punchy yet clean, allowing the vibrant, fruit-forward hop character to linger.

Appearance. Deep opaque gold to light orange (7–9 SRM) with a thick, persistent, creamy white head that leaves dense lacing. Significant haze obscures clarity.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of tropical fruit, pineapple, and citrus. Citra and Amarillo provide dominant notes of grapefruit and orange, while BRU-1 adds distinct pineapple. Very low, clean, doughy malt in the background; fermentation is neutral with a slight, smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is a fruit-forward explosion of mango, peach, and citrus candy. Strong hop flavor mirrors the aroma, supported by a low, soft malt character. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth, avoiding any harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a long, lingering tropical and resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, velvety texture and moderate carbonation. A well-integrated, gentle alcohol warmth is present, contributing to the beer's richness without astringency.
