A Boy Called Chase is a vibrant Hazy IPA that amplifies the sensory foundations of its session-strength predecessor. The grist, featuring Golden Promise and German Pilsner malts alongside substantial additions of wheat and oats, establishes a pale golden, opaque base with a remarkably plush texture. The hop profile utilizes a high-impact blend of Mosaic, Chinook, and Vic Secret to deliver an explosion of tropical fruit led by ripe pineapple and fleshy mango. A distinct grapefruit undertone from the Chinook provides citrus depth, balancing the sweeter tropical notes. The result is a smooth, juicy experience with restrained bitterness and a lush, pillowy mouthfeel.
Appearance. Pale golden (4 SRM); opaque with a characteristic hazy shine. Dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma dominated by tropical pineapple and mango. Supporting notes of pink grapefruit and subtle pine. Low bready and grainy malt character in the background with clean, neutral fermentation esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with dominant pineapple and mango. The grapefruit character provides a pleasant citrus depth. Malt flavor is low and bready. Bitterness is low to medium-low, perceived as soft rather than sharp. Finish is off-dry, juicy, and smooth.
