This Hazy IPA is a saturated sensory experience, showcasing a vibrant collaboration centered on the experimental AU35 hop alongside the iconic Citra. The Vermont Ale yeast contributes a stone fruit-driven ester profile that perfectly complements the intense tropical and citrus layers. Expect a glass filled with opaque, luminous juice characterized by aromas of overripe mango, peach, and zesty lime. On the palate, the mouthfeel is exceptionally soft and plush, delivering waves of pineapple and stone fruit with a restrained, integrated bitterness. It finishes with a delicate bready malt sweetness and a clean, lingering fruit-forward essence.
Appearance. Deep straw to light orange color (4-6 SRM) with an opaque, hazy clarity that provides a healthy glow. Features a dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring tropical mango, passionfruit, and bright lime from the Citra and AU35 hops. Supportive stone fruit esters of peach and apricot from the Vermont Ale yeast blend into a background of grainy, bready malt.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of pineapple and citrus zest. The hop flavor is very high and fruity, supported by a low, doughy malt character. Perceived bitterness is moderate and smooth, never sharp, leading to an off-dry finish that highlights a lingering juicy tropicality.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, though the beer remains smooth with no hop astringency or harshness.
