GANZA Brewery GENESIS
Genesis is a punchy West Coast IPA that emphasizes the modern hop intensity of CRYO CITRA and IDAHO 7. It leads with a vibrant sensory profile of zesty grapefruit, resinous pine, and ripe mango. The palate follows with a clean, lean malt backbone that allows the firm bitterness to dominate without becoming harsh. The use of CRYO CITRA amplifies the citrus brightness, while IDAHO 7 adds layers of stone fruit and a subtle evergreen complexity. It finishes bone-dry and crisp, leaving a lingering trail of citrus peel and resin on the tongue, embodying a classic, hop-forward American IPA character.
Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity. Pours with a tall, off-white, creamy head featuring excellent persistence and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by grapefruit, lime zest, and dank pine. Underlying notes of pineapple and black tea emerge from the IDAHO 7. Malt character is low and neutral, presenting as light crackers or pale bread.
Taste. High hop flavor of citrus pith, resin, and tropical fruit. Bitterness is firm and assertive, balanced by a minimal, clean malt base. The fermentation profile is very clean, leading to a crisp, dry finish with a lingering, resinous hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crisp bite, accompanied by a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
