BIG TURTURRO presents an artful, elevated take on the traditional Gose, offering a more robust sensory framework at 6% ABV. A base of Pilsner and wheat malt provides a soft, doughy foundation for a bright, lactic tartness and a refined mineral saltiness. The sensory experience is defined by an interplay of fresh lemon acidity and a nuanced, citrus-forward coriander spice that avoids any vegetal character. Highly effervescent and crisp, it balances its refreshing, mouthwatering salinity with a clean, dry finish, resulting in a sophisticated, contemporary interpretation that feels both experimental and classic in its execution.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (3-4 SRM). Distinctly hazy and unfiltered with an effervescent character. Pours with a moderate to tall, bright white head featuring tight bubbles and fair retention.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominant lactic tartness reminiscent of fresh lemon and sourdough. Bright, spicy coriander notes provide a citrusy orange peel character. Clean bready and wheat malt sweetness sits in the background. No hop aroma or esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, refreshing lactic sourness balanced by a noticeable but restrained sea salt character that never tastes overtly salty. Bready, doughy malt flavors support the acidity. The coriander adds a layer of bright, lemony spice. Bitterness is very low to absent. Finishes bone-dry and crisp with lingering tartness and a mouthwatering mineral quality.
Mouthfeel. Medium to medium-full body, slightly more substantial than standard versions due to the elevated ABV. High carbonation creates a lively, tingling sensation. A round, mouthwatering texture from the salt is present, with a very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
