Modulate is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop blend of Amarillo, Belma, and Mosaic. This beer presents an intense bouquet of ripe strawberry and melon from the Belma, intertwined with the signature tropical punch and berry notes of Mosaic. Amarillo adds a bright layer of orange zest and floral undertones. On the palate, it delivers a soft, pillowy texture typical of the style, supporting a lush fruit profile without harsh bitterness. The finish is smooth and slightly off-dry, highlighting a clean, grainy malt base that allows the complex hop oils to take center stage in every sip.
Appearance. Straw to soft orange-gold (4-6 SRM). Opaque, hazy appearance with a healthy shine. Thick, rocky white head with excellent retention and meringue-like lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring prominent notes of strawberry, cantaloupe, and mango. Citric orange peel and floral accents from the Amarillo hops are balanced by a neutral, lightly bready malt backbone and clean fermentation esters.
Taste. Explosive flavors of tropical fruit and mixed berries, specifically strawberry and blueberry, followed by a citrus-laden mid-palate. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is soft rather than sharp. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a lingering juicy fruit aftertaste and subtle grainy malt sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, rounded mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle sparkle. No astringency or hop burn. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
