This Hazy Session IPA offers a vibrant tropical escape, balancing a soft, approachable 5% ABV with a surprisingly full-bodied texture. The sensory profile is dominated by a heavy dry-hop regimen of Citra, Sabro, and BRU-1, which together orchestrate a symphony of sun-drenched flavors. Expect a primary surge of ripe pineapple and sweet mandarin orange, immediately followed by the distinctive, creamy coconut undertones characteristic of Sabro. While the hop intensity is high, the bitterness remains smooth and integrated, supported by a clean, grainy malt backbone. It finishes crisp and refreshing, inviting another sip of its lush, fruit-forward complexity.
Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (SRM 4–7). Hazy to opaque with a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring a punchy tropical fruit basket. Strong notes of fresh pineapple and stone fruit are driven by BRU-1, complemented by a distinct coconut and creaminess from Sabro. Citra adds a bright top note of mandarin orange and grapefruit zest. Malt is low and neutral, presenting as light crackers or fresh grain.
Taste. Hop-forward and expressive. Initial flavors of sweet pineapple and tropical juice transition into a mid-palate of coconut and citrus peel. Bitterness is moderate, providing enough structure to balance the fruity esters without becoming harsh. The malt character is subtle and grainy, ensuring the hop profile remains the focus. The finish is medium-dry and remarkably clean with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture that belies its session strength. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle prickle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is low, making for a highly drinkable and refreshing experience.
