California Waves is a vibrant American IPA that embodies the crisp, lean profile of a modern West Coast style. It presents a bright, resinous punch of citrus and pine on the nose, characteristic of contemporary New World hop selections. The palate is defined by a firm, assertive bitterness that cuts through a minimalist, cracker-like malt backbone. With its brilliant clarity and highly attenuated finish, the beer offers a refreshing, bone-dry experience that emphasizes hop purity. The clean fermentation profile ensures that the focus remains entirely on the interplay between grapefruit zest and forest-floor aromatics, culminating in a sharp, lingering finish.

Appearance. Medium gold (approx. 7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by New World hop traits including grapefruit, sticky pine resin, and a hint of tropical mango. Malt character is low and clean, offering a faint bready or grainy-sweet presence. Esters are very low, with a neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. Immediate high hop bitterness that is clean and sharp. Hop flavors mirror the aroma with prominent notes of citrus zest, cedar, and resinous herbs.
