The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains their flagship pub based in Salthill; their owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brewpubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and has grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. They now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.

Soft and fruity Pale brewed with Oats and hopped with Citra and Amarillo.

Althea is a modern American Hazy Pale Ale. Unlike many pales, Althea is low on bitterness, yet massively hoppy on the aroma. Named after a Grateful Dead song; Althea is a beer that can be enjoyed by the pint or by the glass!

Aroma: Tropical fruits, such as peach, mango, and papaya

Flavour: Rich but restrained malty graininess, overshadowed by fruity hop flavours
