Fuzz Rise presents a crisp, refreshing interpretation of the American IPA, leaning into its hybrid lager identity. The aroma is dominated by high-intensity hop notes of bright citrus zest and resinous pine, supported by a very low, clean, grainy malt backbone. On the palate, a firm bitterness asserts itself early, carrying flavors of grapefruit peel and tropical fruit through to a bone-dry, snappy finish. The lager fermentation ensures a spotless, ester-free profile, allowing the vibrant hop character to take center stage without distraction. Its light-gold brilliance and effervescent mouthfeel make for a highly drinkable, hop-forward experience that balances intensity with a clean, modern elegance.
Appearance. Medium gold color (approximately 7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, pine resin, and a hint of tropical mango. Malt is low and clean, presenting a neutral, grainy sweetness. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no yeast-derived esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, clean bitterness followed by high hop flavors of citrus rind and resinous herbs. Malt flavor is low and bready-grainy, providing a lean foundation. Bitterness is firm and persistent into the aftertaste. Finish is very dry and crisp.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. High carbonation enhances the dry finish. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated, with no perceived astringency.
