This American IPA, interpreted through the crisp lens of a Cold IPA, presents an exceptionally clean canvas that allows its complex hop profile to vibrate with intensity. Distinctive resinous pine from Chinook merges seamlessly with the multifaceted tropical and dank strawberry notes of Strata. Hallertauer Blanc contributes sophisticated nuances of white grape and lemongrass, while Citra Cryo amplifies the experience with concentrated bursts of bright grapefruit and lime zest. A lean, grainy malt backbone supports a sharp, assertive bitterness that cuts through the crisp finish. The fermentation is neutral and pristine, highlighting the nuanced interplay of modern hop varieties against a dry, refreshing structural foundation.
Appearance. Medium gold (6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves fine, web-like lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by grapefruit, resinous pine, and white grape skins. Low grainy-sweet maltiness provides a neutral background. Clean fermentation profile with no discernible yeast esters.
Taste. Leading with a punchy hop flavor of citrus zest and tropical fruit. Bitterness is high and assertive, supported by a low grainy malt character. Notes of pine and passionfruit persist into a dry, crisp finish. Aftertaste is hoppy and bitter with a clean, refreshing quality.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, smooth texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a lively, refreshing mouth-coating. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 7% ABV.
