Future Brewing Big Four is an assertive Double IPA that emphasizes the juicy aromatic potential of its Southern Hemisphere hop bill. A massive double dry-hop addition of Motueka and Riwaka delivers high-intensity aromas of fresh lime zest and passionfruit, while Peacharine adds a plush layer of ripe stone fruit. Nelson provides its signature crushed white grape and gooseberry complexity, which integrates seamlessly into the soft, big-bodied mouthfeel. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable, balancing a pillowy malt presence with a clean, firm bitterness that underscores a vibrant tropical finish.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange-copper. Features a dense, persistent white head with excellent lacing. Clarity is characterized by a significant haze consistent with extensive double dry-hopping.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of passionfruit, white peach, and lime. Nelson hops contribute a sophisticated gooseberry and white wine character. Supportive malt is low and neutral, presenting as light crackery or grainy notes. Fermentation is clean with very light tropical esters and no solventy alcohol.

Taste. Leading with a strong and complex hop flavor of citrus, grapefruit, and stone fruit. Mid-palate highlights of white grape and tropical resin from the Riwaka and Motueka additions. Bitterness is firm but smooth, lacking any harshness. Malt character is soft and unobtrusive, providing a neutral backdrop for the hops. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. Alcohol warmth is restrained and smooth, well-integrated at 8% ABV without any hop-derived astringency.
