This collaborative Hazy Double IPA, crafted for Funky Fluid's 5th anniversary with Moksa Brewing Co, delivers a saturated, "sticky" tropical experience. The hop profile is driven by Citra, El Dorado, and HBC 586, yielding intense layers of overripe mango, pineapple, and citrus zest. Despite its 8.1% ABV, the beer maintains a remarkably creamy, pillowy texture that softens the punch of the high hop concentration. The lack of harshness emphasizes the super tropical character, while the 18°P base provides a sturdy, supportive malt backbone. It is a modern, lush expression of the style, balancing high-impact fruitiness with a smooth, approachable finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange; opaque with a heavy, uniform haze. Thick, persistent, creamy white head with excellent retention and lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by tropical fruits. Pronounced notes of mango and guava from HBC 586, complemented by bright pineapple and pear from El Dorado and a sharp citrus-lime edge from Citra. Background of sweet, bready malt and a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression of sweet tropical juice. Mid-palate reveals complex hop flavors of passion fruit, stone fruit, and orange peel. Malt flavor is low but provides a soft, bready support. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, avoiding the aggressive harshness of traditional versions. Lingering fruit-forward aftertaste with a clean, balanced finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full, creamy body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth that integrates well with the dense hop oils. No harsh hop-derived astringency.
