Appearance. Opaque dark brown, nearly black (SRM 30+). Features a thick, persistent, tan-colored head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich maltiness of dark chocolate, licorice, and deep toast. Prominent Pedro Ximenez influence provides sweet sherry, raisin, and vinous notes. Distinct toasted coconut and earthy cocoa nibs are layered over a spicy rye graininess and dark fruit esters of plum and cherry. No hop aroma.
