High Five is a vibrant American IPA crafted in collaboration with Nowy Kraftowy, showcasing a modern hop profile through intensive dry hopping. The aromatic profile is dominated by the unique contribution of Talus, offering distinct notes of pink grapefruit and dried roses, complemented by the punchy citrus and tropical fruit character of Citra. At 5.3% ABV and 14 Plato, the beer maintains a lean, approachable structure. A clean, grainy malt backbone provides just enough support for the assertive hop bitterness, leading into a crisp and refreshing finish. It is a highly drinkable, hop-forward expression of the style that highlights contemporary hop science.
Appearance.Medium gold (approx. 7 SRM) with brilliant clarity, though a very faint hop haze may be present. Topped with a persistent, medium-sized white head that leaves delicate lacing.
Aroma.High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent pink grapefruit, lime, and tropical mango from the Citra and Talus additions. Secondary notes of pine resin and a subtle floral quality reminiscent of rose petals are evident. Low, clean, bready maltiness supports the hops with no caramel character.
Taste. The palate is led by high hop flavors of grapefruit zest, tropical fruit, and a touch of sage. Bitterness is firm and clean, balanced by a low, grainy malt sweetness. The fermentation profile is very clean, allowing the hop character to dominate through to a dry, crisp finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, enhancing the crispness of the finish. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated.
