Funky Fluid’s Free Crazy is a vibrant non-alcoholic Hazy IPA that captures the essence of a full-strength craft ale. The aromatic profile is dominated by a trifecta of Mosaic, Sabro, and Cascade hops, yielding intense notes of tropical stone fruit, fresh coconut, and zesty grapefruit. Despite its lack of alcohol, the beer maintains a soft, hazy character typical of modern New England styles. The palate is led by mango and berry flavors from the Mosaic, balanced by the distinctive creamy coconut of Sabro and a hint of Cascade's piney resin. It finishes clean and refreshing with a gentle, supportive malt backbone.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4 SRM). Significant hazy to opaque appearance with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring tropical fruit (mango, papaya), citrus (grapefruit), and a distinctive creamy coconut note. Low, grainy malt sweetness and light peach-like esters support the hop-forward profile.
Taste. Initial impression is juicy and hop-centric. High hop flavor consistent with aroma, showcasing Mosaic berry notes, Sabro coconut, and Cascade citrus. Bitterness is moderate and clean. Low bready malt flavor provides a light base. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering tropical and slightly resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high. No alcohol warmth is present. Very low astringency.
