Funky Fluid

This modern Hazy IPA delivers an intense, juicy sensory experience driven by a massive dry-hop bill. On the nose, Citra and Amarillo unleash vibrant waves of fresh-squeezed orange juice, grapefruit zest, and sweet tangerine, while Mosaic introduces deep tropical notes of ripe mango and blueberry. The experimental X09326 hop adds a unique layer of passion fruit and white peach complexity. Supported by a soft, bready malt backbone and a neutral, ester-supportive fermentation, this beer flows smoothly across the palate. Restrained bitterness ensures the lush, fruit-forward flavors dominate through to a soft, satisfyingly juicy, and off-dry finish.

Appearance. Straw to deep yellow with a striking, uniform opaque haze that gives the beer a luminous, healthy glow. Pours with a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head that demonstrates excellent retention, leaving dense, webbed lacing along the glass as it recedes. Free from any floating hop matter or yeast clumps.

Aroma. Intensely hop-forward with high-intensity aromas of tropical and citrus fruits. Bright notes of sweet mango, passion fruit, and ripe peach meld with fresh grapefruit, orange peel, and a hint of blueberry. The malt character is low, presenting as clean, lightly bready, and doughy in the background. Fermentation esters are clean and supportive, enhancing the overall stone fruit profile without any clashing phenols, warmth, or buttery diacetyl.

Taste. The initial impression is a burst of juicy tropical and citrus hop flavors, closely mirroring the aroma with rich mango, tangerine, and soft peach. Malt flavor is low, contributing a delicate, doughy, and flaked-grain sweetness that balances the hop saturation. Bitterness is low to medium-low, soft and integrated rather than sharp, ensuring high drinkability. The finish is off-dry, smooth, and clean, leaving a lingering, soft aftertaste of tropical fruit pulp without any harsh hop burn or astringency.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full, pillowy body with a remarkably smooth, soft mouthfeel derived from flaked grains and a chloride-rich water profile. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle lift that keeps the beer from feeling heavy or viscous. There is no harshness, hop burn, or raw starch texture, and the alcohol is exceptionally well-integrated with zero noticeable warmth.
