This Foreign Extra Stout presents a rich and immersive sensory profile, bridging classic roast intensity with modern barrel-inspired complexity. The foundation is built on deep layers of dark chocolate, espresso, and charred grain, providing a robust malt backbone. The addition of Bourbon infused oak chips introduces sophisticated nuances of toasted vanilla, sweet caramel, and a gentle spirituous depth that weaves through the roasted bitterness. While the finish remains characteristically dry, the oak influence adds a perceived smoothness and a lingering wood-kissed aftertaste. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40). Pours with a thick, dense, persistent tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
