This West Coast IPA is a crisp, uncompromising collaboration between Funky Fluid and Tired Hands, showcasing a modern hop profile with high attenuation. The aromatic intensity is driven by Motueka and Nectaron, delivering vivid layers of zesty lime, crushed mojito mint, and ripe stone fruits like peach and nectarine. Its pale gold appearance is brilliantly clear, leading to a bone-dry palate where a firm, resinous bitterness takes center stage. Clean, crackery malts provide a lean foundation, allowing the tropical and citrus hop oils to linger into a sharp, refreshing finish. It is a vibrant, high-impact take on the classic American IPA.
Appearance. Brilliantly clear, deep gold (approx. 7 SRM) with a tall, dense white head that exhibits excellent persistence and leaves intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring Motueka's signature lime zest and mojito mint alongside Nectaron's lush pineapple and peach notes. Low, clean, bready malt sweetness acts as a neutral backdrop. Fermentation is clean with no noticeable esters.
Taste. Sharp, clean initial bitterness that builds to a firm, resinous finish. High hop flavors of tropical fruit, citrus peel, and stone fruit dominate. Low toasted grain malt character is present but secondary. Finishes bone-dry with a lingering, clean hop bitterness and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, medium-high carbonation that enhances the dry finish. Smooth texture with a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no astringency.
