Steady Away is a vibrant, sessionable American Pale Ale that leans heavily into contemporary tropical profiles. The addition of Phantasm elevates the sensory experience, delivering intense aromas of succulent guava and tart passion fruit. These exotic notes are harmoniously complemented by the bright, zesty character of Citra hops, which provide distinctive layers of fresh lime and lemon zest. Despite its light 3.8% frame, the beer presents as a juice bomb with a clean, supportive malt base that allows the hop-derived oils to shine. It balances approachable drinkability with a punchy, modern aromatic profile, finishing crisp and refreshing with a balanced bitterness.

Appearance. Pale golden to light straw (4-6 SRM). Moderately large, frothy white head with good retention and light lacing. Generally clear to slightly hazy, consistent with modern tropical hop usage.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruits; prominent guava and passion fruit notes. Complementary citrus aromas of lime and lemon peel from Citra hops are evident. Low, neutral grainy-sweet maltiness supports the hop presentation with a very clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical guava and passion fruit. Hop flavors follow the aroma with distinct lime and lemon zest. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a light crackery foundation. Bitterness is moderate and clean, providing enough balance for the fruity esters without being harsh. The finish is dry and crisp with lingering citrus zest.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light to light body, reflecting the sessionable strength. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a lively and refreshing mouthfeel. Very smooth with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
