This Straight Sour Beer, a collaboration between Full Circle and Vault City, recreates the nostalgic "Snakebite & Black" profile with intense sensory depth. A vibrant, sharp lactic acidity forms the backbone, immediately met by the concentrated essence of blackcurrant and crisp apple puree. The blackcurrant offers an earthy, tart dark fruit character, while the apple provides a bright, orchard-fresh snap. Subtle bready notes from the pale malt grist linger beneath the fruit, providing a soft foundation. It finishes refreshingly dry and effervescent, perfectly capturing the classic Diesel experience through a modern, expertly crafted lens.

Appearance. Deep ruby to vibrant purple-magenta; hazy and opaque from the heavy use of fruit puree. Features a dense, pink-tinted head with moderate retention and lively effervescence.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromas of tart, earthy blackcurrant and sharp green apple. Clean lactic sourness provides a piercing brightness. Malt character is low, offering a faint hint of crackers or raw grain. No hop aroma is present.

Taste. The initial impression is a bracing lactic sourness. Rich, jammy blackcurrant flavors dominate the mid-palate, followed by the crisp, tart acidity of apple puree. Hop bitterness is undetectable. The finish is off-dry and very clean, with a lingering fruit skin tartness and a subtle biscuity malt backbone.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, slightly elevated by the fruit solids. Carbonation is high and prickly. Crisp, refreshing acidity provides a sharp mouthfeel with no noticeable alcohol warmth or astringency.
