Call Me Nighthawk is a vibrant Hazy IPA crafted in collaboration with France’s Prizm. At 6% ABV, it presents a concentrated burst of tropical and citrus character derived from a massive hop charge. The sensory experience is dominated by lush waves of overripe mango, passion fruit, and bright tangerine. A soft, pillowy malt base provides a bready foundation that supports the intense fruitiness without adding sweetness. This beer emphasizes a smooth, approachable mouthfeel with a restrained bitterness, ensuring the juicy hop expression remains the primary focus from the aromatic first impression to the clean, fruity finish.
Appearance. 3-5 SRM. Glowing straw to light orange; hazy and opaque with a luminous shine. Features a medium, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aromatics featuring prominent guava, pineapple, and citrus zest. The malt presence is subtle and clean, providing a light, grainy, and slightly bready background without any toasted or caramel notes.
Taste. Massive tropical fruit flavors of mango and stone fruit are immediately apparent, followed by a citrusy grapefruit-like snap. Malt flavor is low, supporting the hops with simple, neutral breadiness. Bitterness is medium-low and well-integrated, leading to a soft, off-dry finish that lingers with a fruity, non-harsh aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, smooth texture and moderate carbonation. It lacks any astringency or hop burn, offering a gentle, well-conditioned feel with very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
