Stray Robot presents an inviting sensory journey through modern hop artistry. This American IPA features a prominent interplay between Mosaic and Sabro hops, yielding a vibrant bouquet of blueberries, tropical mango, and a distinct hint of creamy coconut. While the approachable alcohol content provides high drinkability, the sensory profile remains firmly rooted in the style’s hop-forward tradition. Clean, bready malt provides a subtle backbone, allowing the resinous pine and stone fruit notes to shine through. It finishes with a refreshing, firm bitterness and a dry, crisp edge, making it an evocative and aromatic example of contemporary hop expression.
Appearance. Color is medium gold (7 SRM) with a slight haze from significant dry-hopping. It supports a medium-sized, white head with good persistence and notable lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit, blueberry, and stone fruit from Mosaic, alongside a unique coconut and tangerine character from Sabro. Low grainy-sweet malt provides a clean background. Fermentation is clean with no noticeable esters or diacetyl.
Taste. High hop flavor reflects the aroma with notes of mango, cedar, and cream. Initial impression is hop-forward followed by a low, clean bready malt sweetness. Medium-high bitterness is firm but not harsh. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, clean hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated; no astringency from the heavy dry-hop addition.
