This Triple Dry Hopped Double IPA showcases a vibrant, modern hop profile driven by Nelson Sauvin and Krush. It pours a dense, hazy gold, unleashing intense aromatics of white grape, lychee, and galia melon. On the palate, a complex wave of tropical fruit emerges, highlighting bitter green grape, kiwi, and sweet green apple skin from the Nelson Sauvin, while Krush contributes succulent pear and zesty lime. The mouthfeel is exceptionally plush and custard-like, providing a smooth, juicy substrate for the assertive hop saturation. A well-integrated 8% ABV adds gentle warmth, balancing the lingering, resinous bitterness characteristic of a classic Double IPA.
Appearance. 7-9 SRM. Deep gold to light orange; opaque and hazy. Features a thick, creamy, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Prominent Nelson Sauvin notes of white grape, gooseberry, and lychee are layered with galia melon. Very low, neutral maltiness. Fermentation is clean with a slight tropical ester profile.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of kiwi, green apple skin, and pear. Firm but smooth hop bitterness is balanced by a soft, bready malt backbone. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering, refreshing lime and vinous grape aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied with a creamy, silk-like texture. Moderate carbonation. Notable but smooth alcohol warmth provides structure without harshness or astringency.
