Berlin Duo is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases the expressive potential of its Citra and Peacharine dry-hop addition. This collaboration delivers an intense sensory profile defined by a lush bouquet of sun-ripened peach, fuzzy nectarine, and bright pink grapefruit. The aroma is punchy and tropical, transitioning seamlessly into a juicy palate where stone fruit dominance meets zesty citrus highlights. A soft, wheaty malt base provides a pillowy, structural foundation that balances the restrained bitterness. The experience concludes with a clean, fruit-forward finish, leaving a lingering impression of tropical lime and velvet-smooth stone fruit esters.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (4 SRM) with an opaque, luminous haze and a bright shine. Topped by a dense, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick, decorative lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of peach, nectarine, and mango. Citra contributes distinct grapefruit and lime zest layers. The malt character is clean, neutral, and lightly bready, while the fermentation profile is supportive and fruity without being cloying.
Taste. Initial impression is overwhelmingly juicy with high-intensity flavors of peach and tropical citrus. Hop bitterness is low to moderate, providing a soft balance rather than a sharp bite. The malt provides a neutral, grainy backbone that allows the Peacharine stone fruit character to shine. The finish is off-dry, smooth, and clean with no harsh hop burn.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, soft, and pillowy body. Moderate carbonation contributes to a smooth, creamy texture. Very light alcohol warmth is well-integrated, and there is a total absence of astringency.
