This session-strength Hazy IPA delivers a vibrant sensory experience centered on a punchy hop trifecta of Citra, Idaho 7, and Motueka. It pours with a sun-drenched glow, offering intense aromatics of zesty lime peel and tropical passion fruit. The addition of wheat and oats creates a soft, hazy foundation that supports complex layers of fresh lemon and coriander, balanced by a resinous hint of pine and a unique damp, earthy undertone. Despite its lighter frame, it features a crisp, herbaceous dryness and a surprisingly firm, lingering bitterness that makes for an exceptionally refreshing and hop-forward finish.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (3-5 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a luminous quality. Large, rocky white head with high retention and thick, decorative lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma dominated by lime zest, passion fruit, and bright lemon. Distinctive herbal notes reminiscent of fresh coriander are present, alongside a subtle resinous pine. Malt character is low and neutral, providing a light doughy and bready backdrop from the wheat and oats.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus oils. Prominent flavors of lime and passion fruit transition into a more herbaceous mid-palette. Malt flavor is low, primarily crackery and grainy. Bitterness is moderate to firm, exceeding typical style expectations for a dry, refreshing finish. Aftertaste is clean with lingering notes of citrus zest and a touch of piney resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a soft, smooth texture derived from flaked grains. Moderate carbonation. Very low alcohol warmth. Refreshingly crisp with no astringency or harshness.
