The foundational Citra and Nelson Sauvin provide a tropical rush of pineapple and bright citrus, while the experimental HBC 1019 introduces decadent layers of sweet cherries, candy, and a distinct coconut marshmallow finish. It presents a smoothie thick texture that deviates from traditional dryness, offering a creamy, lush mouthfeel. The 8% ABV is well-integrated, supporting the intense hop saturation without overwhelming the palate, resulting in a modern, fruit-forward interpretation of the style.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange with a significant, persistent opaque haze. Thick, creamy white head with excellent lacing and retention.
Aroma. Intense and multifaceted hop aroma featuring prominent pineapple, white grape, and stone fruit. Unique notes of sweet cherry and marshmallow-like coconut emerge alongside a clean, neutral malt base. Low alcohol presence.
Taste. High hop flavor intensity mirroring the aroma, with explosive pineapple, candy-like sweetness, and a touch of coconut. Nelson Sauvin contributes a sophisticated vinous character.
