Starchild is a vibrant American IPA that illuminates the palate with the explosive tropical character of New Zealand hops. Pouring a clear medium gold with a persistent white head, it radiates intense aromas of passionfruit, lime zest, and ripe mango. The sensory experience is defined by a supernova of southern hemisphere fruit flavors, supported by a clean, lean malt backbone of light cracker and grainy sweetness. A firm, crisp bitterness balances the juicy hop profile, leading into a dry, refreshing finish. At 6% ABV, it offers a smooth, medium-light body that highlights the modern, fruit-forward brilliance of its specific New Zealand hop selection.
Appearance. Medium gold (7 SRM) with a medium-sized, white head showing good persistence and light lacing; brilliant clarity with a very light, acceptable haze.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by New World characteristics: passionfruit, guava, and mango from the New Zealand hops. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral base, while a light ester profile complements the tropical fruit notes.
