This opulent Imperial Stout presents a decadent fusion of dark-roasted intensity and tropical luxury. The Jamaican rum barrels introduce a sophisticated layer of molasses, burnt sugar, and spicy oak, which seamlessly integrates with a robust base of bittersweet chocolate and espresso. Toasted coconut provides a creamy, nutty depth that softens the aggressive roast, while the rum’s contribution of tropical fruit esters adds an exotic complexity. The 12% ABV is expertly integrated, offering a smooth warmth that carries lingering notes of caramel and brown sugar through a long, velvety finish. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Displays a thick, creamy, dark brown head with moderate to low retention, leaving viscous legs on the glass as a result of the high alcohol and coconut oils.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and charred grain. The Jamaican rum barrel adds deep molasses, caramel, and subtle hints of tropical fruit. Toasted coconut contributes a prominent nutty sweetness, accompanied by spicy oak and a clean, warming alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely rich and sweet. Layers of baker's chocolate and espresso malt are complemented by the rum-derived flavors of brown sugar and molasses. Coconut adds a fatty, creamy mid-palate richness. Hop bitterness is moderate but provides necessary balance to the thick malt backbone. The finish is lingering and complex, showcasing woody spice, dried dark fruits, and a pleasant alcohol warmth.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a thick, chewy, and velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. Noticeable, smooth alcohol warmth is present without being sharp. The coconut contributes a luxurious, slightly creamy mouth-coating quality.
