This German Pils provides a vibrant, modern interpretation of the style, defined by an expressive interplay of traditional and New World hops. The aroma is remarkably fresh, layering the spicy and herbal essence of Saaz with the distinctive citrus and lemon zest notes of Centennial and Liberty. A foundation of Lager malt and a touch of Cara malt yields a brilliant golden hue and a clean, grainy character reminiscent of toasted crackers. Refreshing and bright, the palate balances a delicate malt sweetness against a crisp, refined bitterness, culminating in the dry, snappy finish expected of a high-quality lager.

Appearance. Deep gold (approx. 4 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a thick, creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Clean fermentation profile with no esters. Forward hop character featuring spicy and floral notes combined with a modern citrus zest. The malt presence is moderate-low, providing a backdrop of grainy-sweetness and a hint of honey.

Taste. Initial flavors of sweet, doughy malt and toasted cracker from the Lager malt and Cara malt. The malt is quickly superseded by a firm hop flavor of lemon peel, herbs, and flowers. Bitterness is moderate and clean, leading into a very dry, crisp finish with a lingering floral and citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a refreshing, prickly sensation. No alcohol warmth. Smooth and crisp with a very slight minerally snap in the finish.
