Leveraging Citra in several forms—including Citra Cryo, Citra BBC, and Citra Dynaboost—it delivers intense layers of pink grapefruit, lime zest, and ripe mango. El Dorado adds significant depth with notes of sweet watermelon and stone fruit. At 10.2% ABV, this Double IPA balances a clean, supportive malt backbone against a firm bitterness that remains smooth rather than harsh. The aroma is saturated with tropical resins and citrus oils, while the palate offers a warming sensation. It is a modern, high-gravity expression that prioritizes hop saturation and drinkability despite its formidable strength.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color. Topped with a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing. Exhibits a slight haze, consistent with modern, heavily dry-hopped versions.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, mango, and lime zest. Tropical fruit and melon scents are bolstered by a resinous undertone. Malt is neutral and grainy in the background, with a clean fermentation profile and a smooth, noticeable alcohol presence.
