This potent Double IPA delivers a saturated sensory experience driven by a massive dry-hop profile of Citra, Amarillo, and El Dorado. Intense aromas of overripe mango, bright tangerine, and sweet melon dominate the nose, supported by a clean, neutral malt base that allows the hops to remain the focus. At 9.9% ABV, the palate is impactful and structured, delivering layers of tropical fruit and resinous citrus. A firm bitterness balances the high alcohol strength, while the finish remains notably dry, emphasizing a lingering, fruity hop persistence and a refined, modern powerhouse character.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (8-12 SRM). Topped with a persistent, creamy white head that leaves significant lacing. Clarity is mostly clear to slight haze.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet. Strong notes of tropical citrus and navel orange are accented by watermelon and stone fruit. Malt is low and neutral, offering a light cracker or grainy sweetness with no solventy alcohol.
Taste. Initial burst of tropical fruit and candied orange peel. Hop bitterness is high but well-integrated and smooth. Malt flavor is low, providing just enough structure with hints of light bread. The fermentation is clean, leading to a medium-dry finish with a long, resinous, and fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium to medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable but well-restrained alcohol warmth provides a pleasant glow without being harsh or burning.
