This Double IPA from FrauGruber Brewing delivers an intense sensory experience, driven by a lush hop profile of Galaxy, Centennial, and Citra. It opens with a vibrant bouquet of passionfruit and melon, layered over sharp grapefruit zest and a subtle piney resin. The palate is dominated by these tropical and citrus notes, supported by a lean, clean malt backbone that ensures the high bitterness remains smooth and focused. A signature of this style, the finish is remarkably dry and lingering. Despite its high strength, the alcohol is masterfully integrated, providing a gentle, sophisticated warmth that complements the beer's velvety texture and modern hop-forward character.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange with a slight haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing and a fine-beaded structure.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma showcasing tropical passionfruit and peach from Galaxy, bright citrus and lime from Citra, and a floral, resinous pine from Centennial. Background malt is neutral and grainy; fermentation is clean with a subtle, well-integrated alcohol note.
