Back To It is a vibrant Double IPA from FrauGruber Brewing that showcases the unique sensory profile of the HBC 630 hop variety. This pale gold ale leads with an intense bouquet of stone fruits and distinct red berries, specifically raspberry and sweet cherry, underpinned by a subtle creamy melon character. The palate is defined by a clean, lean malt base that provides just enough structure for the assertive bitterness to shine without feeling harsh. Layers of peach and tropical esters emerge mid-palate, leading to a crisp, dry finish. With its well-integrated 7.9% ABV, it offers a smooth, warming experience that highlights modern hop complexity.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (6-8 SRM) with a slight, modern haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves dense lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma dominated by raspberry, sweet cherry, and peach from the HBC 630 additions. A supportive, neutral, grainy maltiness sits in the background, accompanied by a clean fermentation profile and a very subtle hint of warming alcohol.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of red berries, stone fruit, and tropical melon. The palate is met with a moderately high bitterness that is firm but smooth. A low, clean, crackery malt character keeps the balance dry. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste that remains clean.
