This American IPA delivers a high-impact sensory experience driven by a powerhouse hop blend including Strata, Vic Secret, and Cryo Idaho 7. The aroma explodes with layers of passionfruit, bright pineapple, and sticky pine, supported by subtle notes of strawberry and lime from Belma CGX and Motueka. A foundation of Pilsner and Extra Pale malts, enhanced by Supernova, provides a clean, crackery backdrop that allows the aggressive bitterness of Simcoe and Magnum to shine through. Fermented with BRY-97, the profile remains crisp and hop-centric, finishing with a lingering resinous punch and a light, well-integrated warmth that underscores its strength.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (7 SRM) with a brilliant clarity, though a very faint haze from heavy dry-hopping is acceptable. It supports a persistent, thick white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of tropical passionfruit, pineapple, and lime. Secondary aromatics include resinous pine and a light, sweet berry character. The malt is low and grainy, smelling of fresh cracker, with a very clean fermentation profile.
Taste. The palate is dominated by high hop flavor, mirroring the aroma with layers of citrus zest, tropical fruit, and pine. A firm, assertive bitterness is present from the start. The malt provides a light bready support before transitioning into a very dry, crisp finish. The aftertaste is long and hoppy, characterized by resin and grapefruit pith.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, clean texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing crispness. There is a light, smooth alcohol warmth that is well-integrated and never harsh.
