Clean Sweep is a refined German Pils that exemplifies the intersection of tradition and precision. Built upon a crisp foundation of Bohemian Pilsner malt, it offers a sophisticated profile of toasted cracker and light honey. The hop bouquet is prominently featured, utilizing Herkules for a firm, structured bitterness while Tettnang and Spalt Select provide elegant layers of dried herbs, noble spice, and delicate floral notes. Fermented with the classic W-34/70 yeast, the character is exceptionally clean and well-attenuated. This lager delivers a brilliant, refreshing experience with a characteristically dry, snap-like finish that invites the next sip.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (3 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a creamy, long-lasting white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop aroma with distinct flowery, spicy, and herbal notes. Low grainy-sweet malt character reminiscent of crackers or fresh bread dough. Exceptionally clean fermentation profile without esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial grainy-sweet malt flavor is quickly superseded by a firm hop bitterness. Flavors of herbal spice and dried flowers mirror the aroma. High attenuation leads to a crisp, dry finish with a lingering, clean bitterness and a touch of mineral character in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation, providing a crisp and refreshing mouth-cleansing effect. No alcohol warmth; very smooth without any harshness or astringency.
