Imperial IPA 8.2 º
The Behind the Scenes Double IPA offers a saturated sensory experience, pouring with a dense, persistent white head. An intense hop bouquet is driven by the tropical punch of El Dorado and the vibrant citrus oils of Cryo Citra. Layers of ripe berry and earthy resin from Cryo Mosaic intermingle with subtle lime and papaya notes from Ekuanot. A complex grain bill featuring Pale malt, Malted Oats, Rolled Oats, and Wheat provides a soft, pillowy texture that supports the high bitterness. On the palate, the fruit-forward character transitions into a firm, resinous finish, balanced by a well-integrated, smooth alcohol warmth.
Appearance. SRM 5-7. Hazy to opaque golden-straw color. Large-sized, persistent, creamy white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pineapple, mango, and stone fruit from El Dorado. Bright grapefruit and lime zest from Cryo Citra and Ekuanot are supported by a subtle berry and dank character from Cryo Mosaic. Low grainy, bready malt notes with a clean, fruity fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors mirroring the aroma with tropical fruit and citrus dominance. High bitterness that is firm but smooth, lacking harshness. Low, supportive bready malt character from the wheat and oats. Finish is medium-dry and clean with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess and soft texture from the high oat and wheat content. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth and restrained alcohol warmth. Low astringency.
