This British Brown Ale presents a unique, modern twist on the classic style, masterfully blending traditional malt depths with contemporary hop character. The malt bill provides a rich foundation of biscuity and nougat-like sweetness, harmonizing with the distinctive tropical and coconut signatures of Sabro hops. While the 16° gravity offers a slightly fuller presence than standard interpretations, the profile remains cohesive and funky without any single element dominating. Expect a seamless transition from nutty, toffee-laden aromas to a palate where creamy coconut meets light chocolate, finishing with a gentle, balanced bitterness and a clean, medium-dry aftertaste.
Appearance. Deep reddish-brown (approx. 20 SRM) with good clarity. Topped by a moderate, creamy, light tan head that shows decent retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Sweet malt aromas of toffee, toasted biscuit, and soft nougat dominate. These are uniquely complemented by the Sabro hops, contributing notes of toasted coconut and subtle tropical fruit. Very light earthy undertones and low fruity esters are present.
Taste. Initial malt sweetness featuring toasted biscuit, milk chocolate, and nougat. The flavor is layered with the Sabro hop character, bringing distinct coconut and tropical fruit nuances that integrate into the malt profile. Bitterness is medium-low, providing just enough balance against the caramel-forward body. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering nutty and coconut aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A very light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present, reflecting its 6.2% strength. No significant astringency.

Základem je výběrový Finest Maris Otter Ale Malt, Best Biscuit a hodně ovesných vloček. Zakvasili jsme kvasnicemi Lalemand London a do whirpoolu a do studeného chmelení jsme přidali specifický a výrazný chmel Sabro. Pak už jsme jenom pozorvali, jak se pivo vyvíjí.
