This Hazy IPA offers a lush, tropical escape, pouring with a signature luminous glow. The aroma is an intense bouquet of stone fruit and bright lime, driven by the combination of El Dorado and Wai-iti hops, further enhanced by the apricot esters of Verdant yeast. A complex grist featuring Crisp Clear Choice Malt, Wheat, and Rye provides a soft, bready foundation with a subtle hint of spice that balances the hop intensity. On the palate, waves of pineapple and peach meld into a silky, pillowy texture. It finishes with a gentle, restrained bitterness, making it an effortlessly smooth and juicy experience that remains remarkably drinkable.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (SRM 4-6). Opaque, hazy appearance with a soft shine. Topped with a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head that demonstrates high retention and leaves intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by tropical notes of pineapple and mango from El Dorado, layered with fresh lime zest and peach from Wai-iti. The yeast contributes supportive stone fruit esters. A clean, bready, and lightly grainy malt presence sits in the background, free of caramel or toast.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of juicy tropical fruit and citrus. Prominent flavors of mango, peach, and lime. Low to medium-high bitterness that is well-integrated and never harsh. The malt flavor is low, presenting as fresh bread and light cereal. Finishes soft and off-dry with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, soft, and pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light alcohol warmth is well-integrated at 6.5%. No astringency or harshness from the hops or grain.
